In a time when we are more "connected" than ever before, the world is facing an unexpected crisis: a rise in loneliness around the world. This article describes the "Silent Pandemic" of social loneliness in the digital age. This article tells us about how digital world usually make it difficult to build true relation by looking at the "social media paradox," the reduction of face-to-face interaction, and the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. The article takes information from the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Pew Research Center to argue that technology can be used to make connections across long distances. Still, it can't replace the need for physical human presence.
