Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.- The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
- The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word format.
- Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
- The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
- The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
Industrial News
Policy Statement
The Industrial News section of PakTech Today serves as a bridge between the laboratory and the marketplace. This section focuses on the practical application of technology within Pakistan’s industrial sectors, including manufacturing, textiles, automotive, energy, and digital services. We prioritize reports on new product launches, significant infrastructure projects, local industrial breakthroughs, and high-impact corporate-academic partnerships.
Focus and Scope
We are looking for timely, informative content that covers:

Commercial Milestones: Successful implementation of new technologies in Pakistani factories or firms.

Infrastructure Updates: Progress on CPEC-related tech projects, data centers, or national grid upgrades.

Market Analysis: Data-driven reports on tech adoption rates in local industries.

Regulatory Impact: How new government standards or international certifications are affecting local tech production.
Submission Guidelines

Format: Articles should be written in a journalistic or report-style format (avoiding overly dense academic jargon).

Length: Typically between 800 and 1,500 words.

Visuals: Submissions are highly encouraged to include high-resolution photographs, infographics, or data charts (with proper attribution).

Verification: While this is not a peer-reviewed section, all factual claims must be verifiable. Press releases should be adapted into analytical news stories rather than published verbatim.
Research
Policy Statement
The Research Features section is the scholarly core of PakTech Today. It publishes original research, systematic reviews, and technical papers that contribute new knowledge to the fields of technology and engineering. We prioritize work that offers practical solutions to technical challenges specifically relevant to Pakistan’s geography, economy, or digital infrastructure.
Focus and Scope
This section accepts high-quality submissions including, but not limited to:

Original Research: Novel findings in AI, software engineering, biotechnology, and material sciences.

Technical Notes: Detailed reports on new methodologies or experimental setups.

Literature Reviews: Comprehensive overviews of current technological trends and their implications for the local market.

Peer Review Process
Submissions to this section undergo a Peer Review process:

Initial Screening: The Section Editor evaluates the manuscript for alignment with the magazine’s scope and basic technical quality.

Expert Review: Manuscripts are sent to at least two independent experts in the relevant field. Neither the authors nor the reviewers know each other's identities.

Decision: Based on reviewer feedback, the Editor will decide to: Accept, Request Revisions (Minor/Major), or Reject.
Submission Requirements

Structure: Papers must include an Abstract (max 250 words), Keywords, Introduction, Methodology, Results, Discussion, and References.

Citation Style: All references must follow any single style such as IEEE / APA / Vancouver/ Harvard etc. (choose one that fits your preference).

Length: Recommended length is 3,000 to 6,000 words.
