Abstract

A majority of startups do not collapse due to a bad idea. The failure is due to the inability of the founders to visualise the future dangers that lay ahead such as when the signals had been put in place, they had no system in place to grab them before the money ran dry, the team went on fire and the market had moved away. An effective Management Information System is not merely a reporting system. In practice, it is a nervous system of a startup that silently ties everything together, assisting founders to make decisions before it is too late.
