Abstract

With the rising costs of hardware, and inflation in Pakistan, this article looks at how local developers are moving from ‘localhost’ to cloud-native environments. Web-based operating systems such as Puter are being combined with AI-powered compute engines such as Google Antigravity, and bypassing the ‘hardware bottleneck' of costly high-end laptops. The study delves into the way virtual kernels and agent-first models are promoting high-performance development tools and enabling the Pakistani programmers to compete globally despite the economic and supply chain limitations in Pakistan.
