Abstract

Artificial intelligence (AI) is rapidly transforming the landscape of education worldwide, and Pakistan is no exception. This article examines how AI tools such as ChatGPT, intelligent tutoring systems, and AI-powered learning platforms are influencing the way students learn, think, and process information. While AI offers significant benefits, including personalized learning, instant feedback, and improved accessibility, it also raises critical concerns about reduced critical thinking, over-dependence, and academic integrity. This article explores both the opportunities and challenges AI presents for students in Pakistani educational institutions and suggests a balanced approach to integrating AI as a learning aid rather than a replacement for genuine cognitive effort.
