Abstract

Automation and artificial intelligence are rapidly transforming industries across the globe, redefining how work is performed and how organizations operate. This article explores the growing influence of automation in sectors such as manufacturing, banking, agriculture, and corporate environments, highlighting both its advantages and challenges. While automation improves efficiency, accuracy, and productivity, it also raises serious concerns regarding job displacement, skill gaps, and workforce adaptation.


Focusing on the context of Pakistan’s evolving economy, the article examines how industries are responding to technological change and the pressure to remain competitive in a digital world. It emphasizes the need for individuals to develop new skills and for governments to integrate modern technologies into education and training systems.


Ultimately, the article argues that automation is not a threat but a transition—one that requires awareness, adaptability, and continuous learning. The future of work will depend on how effectively humans and intelligent systems can coexist and collaborate in an increasingly automated environment.
