Abstract

In recent years, digital portfolios have emerged as a modern alternative to traditional CVs. Unlike paper-based resumes that only describe a person’s qualifications and experience, digital portfolios provide direct evidence of skills through projects, certifications, presentations, videos, and professional achievements. Employers today are increasingly interested in seeing practical work rather than only reading about it. Digital portfolios offer a more interactive and skill-based representation of an individual’s abilities, making them more effective in the hiring process. This article explores the reasons behind the growing preference for digital portfolios, including accessibility, visual presentation, real-time updates, and improved professional branding. It also highlights how digital platforms help candidates stand out in competitive job markets.
