Abstract
Social media has become an essential part of modern life, influencing communication, information sharing, entertainment, and social interaction. This article explores how society would change if social media platforms were unavailable for one week. The discussion focuses on the possible effects on communication patterns, personal relationships, mental well-being, productivity, news consumption, and business activities. Without social media, people may rely more on direct communication methods such as face-to-face conversations, phone calls, and emails. At the same time, the absence of constant online engagement may reduce distractions, improve concentration, and positively affect mental health. However, it may also slow the spread of news and limit online business promotions. The article highlights both the positive and negative consequences of such a scenario and examines how dependent modern society has become on digital platforms.
