Why Every Growing Business Needs Enterprise Resource Planning Building Operational Excellence in a scalable Digital Economy
Main Article Content
Abstract
The operational risks which organizations face become more severe when their business operations expand because errors which they make during their work result in more severe outcomes. The ERP software exists to solve this problem. ERP systems accomplish their primary purpose by creating a unified business platform that allows all company departments to access their data through any computer system which establishes a single database that contains all company information. The system processes orders through the inventory system while it creates invoices and updates the financial records without requiring any human work to maintain its operational efficiency which results in precise results through a process that remains consistent throughout all its functions. Most companies that experience growth reach their first major turning point when their business operations expand. The sales department and the finance department and the inventory management team all use separate software applications for their work. The organization has abundant information, but it lives in many disconnected places. An integrated system catches glitches as data moves between functions; without it, mistakes go unseen until customers complain or regulatory limits are breached.
