Abstract

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is rapidly transforming higher education in Pakistan by introducing intelligent learning systems, automated grading technologies, and personalized educational support tools. This article examines the growing integration of AI within Pakistani universities and highlights its impact on both students and educators. Drawing upon recent qualitative research, the study discusses how AI-powered platforms improve accessibility, learning efficiency, and academic performance while reducing administrative workload for teachers. The article further explores the role of AI in enabling remote learning opportunities and supporting data-driven educational practices across resource-constrained institutions. In addition to its benefits, the discussion emphasizes the importance of ethical implementation, teacher training, and policy development to ensure effective AI adoption within Pakistan’s higher education sector. The findings conclude that AI is not replacing educators but empowering them to focus more on mentorship, creativity, and critical thinking development in modern classrooms
