Abstract

Technology has become an essential part of modern life, transforming how we learn, communicate, and process information. This article examines whether technology is enhancing human intelligence or contributing to cognitive decline. With instant access to vast amounts of information, individuals are increasingly relying on digital tools rather than their own memory, leading to a phenomenon known as digital amnesia. While technology enables faster learning, global connectivity, and adaptive education systems, it may also reduce critical thinking and physical activity. The article presents both perspectives, highlighting how technology can either empower individuals or encourage dependency. Ultimately, the impact of technology depends on how it is used, making it a reflection of human habits rather than a determining force on its own.
